Position Description

At Alloy Products Corp, we’re looking for an Inspector to join our Quality team who will perform inspections of the in-process, finished, and purchased parts for compliance with specifications, as well as support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to quality system enhancements. Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products during the manufacturing processes. This includes performing in-process inspections, final inspections, testing, and audits to ensure that our products meet standards. This role involves working cross-departmentally to resolve quality issues and maintain efficient production. This role works closely with Supervisors, Management, and outside organizations in adherence to compliance standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections and testing to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications (e.g., dimensional checks, surface finish, material type).
  • Identify and troubleshoot quality issues during the production process.
  • Conduct audits of production processes to ensure adherence to standards and identify potential improvements.
  • Use various quality measuring instruments and testing equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Record, analyze, and report inspection results and findings.
  • Document quality control results and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to improve product quality and reduce defects.
  • Perform final inspections on finished products before they are shipped out or delivered to customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and in good working order.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of quality control in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality control methods, techniques, and tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001, ASME or other relevant quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently or under supervision and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
